In collaboration with Petra Verkade, we translated her inspiration from the Japanese island of Naoshima – better known as the art island – into this unique limited edition.
Naoshima is known as Japan's "art island" - a place where modern architecture, nature, and art seamlessly intertwine. The sleek concrete lines of the museums create a powerful contrast with the sea and the soft landscape. This interplay of raw and refined, combined with Yayoi Kusama's recognizable dots and patterns, forms the soul of this design.
For every travel towel, we donate a portion to Het Sieboldhuis in Leiden , which showcases the beauty of Japanese art, tradition, and design through its exhibitions. This way, you'll share a piece of Japan with others - even from the Netherlands.
