In collaboration with Don, we translated his special bond with Sweden, his campervan dream, and the magic of their first trip through this country into a unique Limited Edition – inspired by Vittsjö, the place where everything came together for him.

He is the last artist in the Buvanha X Artists series , in which we create exclusive, lovingly designed travel towels together with selected illustrators from all over the world.

Meet Don

“This towel is much more than just a travel accessory – it is a design born entirely from my memories of Sweden, a country that has deeply influenced my life and creativity.

Our first big trip in our own campervan took us to a quiet spot on a lake in Vittsjö. The tranquility, the woods, the long jetty, cooking in our small kitchen… it all felt like an old dream finally coming true.

I didn't create this design based on photos, but purely from memory - exactly how it felt. Except for the Bigfoot...I just had to add that, haha.

How Sweden inspired him…

For this design, Don was inspired by the contrasts and atmosphere of Sweden: the deep tranquility of remote lakes, the vast forests and the feeling of freedom that comes when you wake up in a new place every day.

With this design he not only wants to capture that natural beauty, but especially the feeling of adventure, wonder and gratitude that this journey brought him.

The elements in this design – from playful forest details to subtle references to the journey – are more than illustrations for Don.

They represent closing a circle: fulfilling a childhood dream, hitting the road with his wife, and discovering along the way that creativity took him exactly where he needed to be.

It is a tribute to Sweden, to travelling in their camper van and to the magic of memories that will stay with you forever.
